Having opened in Donaghadee in September 1999, Pier 36 has gone from strength to strength. Describing itself as a gastropub and inn, it sits on the quayside of one of the most picturesque harbours on the coast and attracts visitors from near and far.

Pier 36 in renowned for its award winning seafood, locally produced fare and a warm and friendly atmosphere, From lunch to dinner and afternoon tea, there’s something to suit everyone. One of their latest menu offerings is Tea Time Tasters, which is a selection of favourite dishes such as Steamed Strangford Mussels, Stir fried Beef fillet and Homemade Cheese cake.

Tea Time Tasters Two courses £10 Monday – Saturday 5.00pm-6.30pm.

Live Jazz welcomes visitors each Wednesday evening and Live entertainment featuring local talents entertains every Friday and Saturday.

Pier 36 caters for over thousands of diners a week which they believe is testament to the fact they always provide fantastic food at great value and “strive to cater for all tastes and wallets.”

Tourist Board Judges commented that the staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful and had excellent interaction with the customers. They commended Pier 36 on its excellent menus and outstanding food.

Celebrating in style at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, collecting their latest accolade Pier 36 showed they are no stranger to such award ceremonies. Previous awards include Seafood Pub of the year, BBC Olive magazine’s Ireland’s Top Gastropub, being announced one of The Guardian’s Top 6 fish restaurants in the United Kingdom, recognised Taste of Ulster and twice Northern Ireland Pub of The Year 2004 & 2006.

Proprietor Denis Waterworth is delighted with the latest award, seeing it as a great means to excelling at food and service standards beyond customer expectations.
